Useful tips for a successful interview

1) Be on time -punctual – give yourself extra time to get there.

2) Get a good night’s sleep and eat a light meal before your interview.

3) Research the company and try to turn the table on the interviewer and interview them.Ask them about the ‘ corporate culture ‘, the turnover rate of employees, opportunities for personal development and foreign assignments. Show them your enthusiasm by questioning them.Ask them if they are happy working there and why.

4) Make sure you are dressed appropriately – casual chic or formal? Ask them!

5) Don’t lie! If you don’t know how to answer something , just say I don’t have the experience but I am keen on learning or great question, can I have some time to think about that.

Preparing for the interview with the HAPPY ( ACRONYM )

H = Be honest, humble and happy and hungry ( confident ). Don’t be a grumpy complainer.
Let your honesty came across in your answers, especially when explaining gaps( missing time ) in your CV.
A = Be assertive but not aggressive ( say I was ‘made for this job,’ but in a nice way-smile).
P = Be punctual and persistent ( get your point across )
P = Be polite and passionate and show you are a people’s person.
Y = Don’t be yellow ( afraid or a shoe looker ).
